1. What is JaVaFo? (The Mathematical Brain)

JaVaFo is the official, internationally certified pairing engine approved by FIDE (The International Chess Federation). It is not a website or a program you can open; it is a highly advanced mathematical algorithm designed to do one specific job: calculate flawless Swiss-system pairings according to strict international regulations. It eliminates human error entirely.

2. Tornelo (Our Online Player Gateway)

Tornelo is the modern, cloud-based tournament platform we use to manage player check-ins, live standings, and arbitrating. Instead of generating pairings manually, Tornelo uses the JaVaFo engine directly in the cloud. This ensures that every single round pairing generated during a SMART Tournament is 100% compliant with FIDE standards.

3. Swiss-Manager (Our Arbiter Desktop Engine)

Swiss-Manager is the gold-standard Windows software used by chess arbiters worldwide to run national and international championships. Because both Tornelo and Swiss-Manager strictly follow the same FIDE-certified JaVaFo pairing language, they sync seamlessly.

Our automated engine features a strict, real-time data sync pipeline designed to maintain total data integrity. The system completely avoids the risks associated with manual file batching through a synchronized, three-step execution matrix:

Dynamic Fee Engine

The web interface counts active player entries dynamically during a session, applying our fixed Tournament Administration & Logistics Fee of R150.00 per player, and marks the internal status as pending.

02. ROUTING

Autonomous Payments

Transactions are routed securely through Paystack. The system accepts a single consolidated payment for individual, family, or bulk school registrations.

03. INGESTION

CSV Import & Export:

Player information can be exported from the registration platform and imported into Tornelo using standard CSV files. Names, Dates of Birth, and Chess SA IDs are automatically mapped and validated, reducing manual data entry and ensuring a clean, accurate tournament roster.

Every event is organized under a pre-allocated Tournament ID to ensure official recognition. At the conclusion of an event, a single-click "Export TRF" is generated via Tornelo and integrated directly into Swiss-Manager for rapid submission to the Ehlanzeni Chess Union ratings officer to secure national grading compliance.

Financial Absorption of Rating Fees

To provide a completely frictionless experience, the Company fully absorbs all mandatory Chess SA rating fees per player, embedding them entirely as a business overhead.

Elite On-Site Deployment

Tournaments are executed on-site by certified provincial arbiters. The company utilizes mobile tablet stations and Kiosk Mode configurations to manage live pairings, draws, and score captures with zero time delays.
